Federal Bank as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility is launching its second phase of skill building initiative at Coimbatore by dedicating the Federal Skill Academy at Madhura Towers, Trichy Road, Coimbatore in September 2016. The initiative is aimed to help deserving meritorious students to complete a job-oriented skill development course with industry certification.
The Federal Skill Academy at Coimbatore will start by providing an in-demand CNC Machine Operator Certificate Course in Milling & Turning. Through this skill development program, students will be given hands-on training on how to use the machines, followed by industry internships before the course is completed. The successful candidates will be certified by COINDIA and will be assisted in getting placed in reputed companies in various parts of India. The duration of the course is 3 months (non-residential) and the fees for the CNC Machine Operators Course will be borne by Federal Bank. SB Global Educational Resources Pvt Ltd is the implementing partner for Federal Skill Academy.
The first phase of this CSR initiative of Federal Bank launched in Kochi last year has successfully completed 6 batches in HVAC with IAPMO Certification where all the students were placed in some of the biggest companies, including MNCs, in India. The Federal Skill Academy intends to play an active part in the Skill India Mission to build a skilled workforce.
Desirous students who are of 18-25 years of age, who have passed +2/ ITI / Polytechnic/ Degree OR Engineering dropout students and whose annual family income does not exceed Rs.3 lakhs per annum are eligible to apply for the course. Applicants will be shortlisted based on an aptitude test and interview.
